- When Monitored:
When mirror operation is requested.
- Set Condition:
If the Driver Door Module senses an open or a short to ground for more than 100 ms on the (P703) Mirror Horizontal Left Switch Sense
circuit, the (P76) Mirror Common Driver circuit, the (P705) Mirror Vertical Down Switch Sense circuit, the (P704) Mirror Horizontal Right
Switch Sense circuit, or the (P706) Mirror Vertical Up Switch Sense circuit after receiving a request for mirror movement from the switch.

1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Press the Mirror Switch in all directions several times.
4. Cycle the ignition from on to off three times.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B1D04-MIRROR ADJUST SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT/PERFORMANCE?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The conditions that caused this code to set are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and
connectors. If the conditions returns, replace the switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
2. TEST THE MIRROR SWITCH
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Remove the Mirror Switch.
3. Disconnect the Mirror Switch connector.
4. Test the Mirror Switch in all positions. See: Body and Frame/Mirrors/Power Mirror Switch/Testing and Inspection.
Does the switch pass the test in all positions?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Replace the Mirror Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
3. CHECK THE (P703) MIRROR HORIZONTAL LEFT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT, THE (P76) MIRROR COMMON DRIVER
CIRCUIT, THE (P705) MIRROR VERTICAL DOWN SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT, THE (P704) MIRROR HORIZONTAL RIGHT
SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT AND THE (P706) MIRROR VERTICAL UP SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

1. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
2. Measure the resistance between ground and the (P703) Mirror Horizontal Left Switch Sense circuit, the (P76) Mirror Common Driver circuit,
the (P705) Mirror Vertical Down Switch Sense circuit, the (P704) Mirror Horizontal Right Switch Sense circuit, and the (P706) Mirror
Vertical Up Switch Sense circuit in the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms on any of the circuits?
Yes
- Repair all circuits with a resistance below 10,000 ohms for a short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. CHECK THE (P703) MIRROR HORIZONTAL LEFT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
1. Measure the resistance of the (P703) Mirror Horizontal Left Switch Sense circuit between the Driver Door Module C3 connector and the
Mirror Switch connector.
Is the resistance below two ohms?
Yes
- Go To 5
No
- Repair the (P703) Mirror Horizontal Left Switch Sense circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
5. CHECK THE (P76) MIRROR COMMON DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

1. Measure the resistance of the (P76) Mirror Common Driver circuit between the Driver Door Module C3 connector and the Mirror Switch
connector.
Is the resistance below two ohms?
Yes
- Go To 6
No
- Repair the (P76) Mirror Common Driver circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
6. CHECK THE (P705) MIRROR VERTICAL DOWN SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
1. Measure the resistance of the (P705) Mirror Vertical Down Switch Sense circuit between the Driver Door Module C3 connector and the
Mirror Switch connector.
Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms?
Yes
- Go To 7
No
- Repair the (P705) Mirror Vertical Down Switch Sense circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
7. CHECK THE (P704) MIRROR HORIZONTAL RIGHT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

1. Measure the resistance of the (P704) Mirror Horizontal Right Switch Sense circuit between the Driver Door Module C3 connector and the
Mirror Switch connector.
Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms?
Yes
- Go To 8
No
- Repair the (P704) Mirror Horizontal Right Switch Sense circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
8. CHECK THE (P706) MIRROR VERTICAL UP SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
1. Measure the resistance of the (P706) Mirror Vertical Up Switch Sense circuit between the Driver Door Module C3 connector and the Mirror
Switch connector.
Is the resistance below 2.0 ohms?
Yes
- Go To 9
No
- Repair the (P706) Mirror Vertical Up Switch Sense circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
9. CHECK THE (P703) MIRROR HORIZONTAL LEFT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (P76) MIRROR
COMMON DRIVER CIRCUIT, THE (P705) MIRROR VERTICAL DOWN SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT, THE (P704) MIRROR
HORIZONTAL RIGHT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT AND THE (P706) MIRROR VERTICAL UP SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT

10. CHECK THE (P76) MIRROR COMMON DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (P705) MIRROR VERTICAL DOWN
SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT, THE (P704) MIRROR HORIZONTAL RIGHT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT AND THE (P706) MIRROR
VERTICAL UP SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (P76) Mirror Common Driver circuit and the (P705) Mirror Vertical Down Switch Sense circuit, the
(P704) Mirror Horizontal Right Switch Sense circuit, and the (P706) Mirror Vertical Up Switch Sense circuit in the Driver Door Module C3
connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms on any of the circuits?
Yes
- Repair all circuits with a resistance below 10,000 ohms for a short to the (P76) Mirror Common Driver circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.

HORIZONTAL RIGHT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT AND THE (P706) MIRROR VERTICAL UP SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (P705) Mirror Vertical Down Switch Sense circuit and the (P704) Mirror Horizontal Right Switch Sense
circuit, and the (P706) Mirror Vertical Up Switch Sense circuit in the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms on any of the circuits?
Yes
- Repair all circuits with a resistance below 10,000 ohms for a short to the (P705) Mirror Vertical Down Switch Sense circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 12
12. CHECK THE (P704) MIRROR HORIZONTAL RIGHT SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO THE (P706) MIRROR
VERTICAL UP SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT
1. Measure the resistance between the (P704) Mirror Horizontal Right Switch Sense circuit and the (P706) Mirror Vertical Up Switch Sense
circuit in the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
Is the resistance below 10,000 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P704) Mirror Horizontal Right Switch Sense circuit for a short to the (P706) Mirror Vertical Up Switch Sense circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.

If the Driver Door Module senses voltage is greater than 5.25 volts for more than 60 ms on the (P439) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit or
the (G160/G161) Right/Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
3. Press the Memory Set Switch several time in all positions.
4. Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

Yes
- Go To 2
No

1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Disconnect the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch C2 connector.
4. Cycle the ignition 3 times.
5. Turn the ignition on.
6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display: B1D4C-MEMORY SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH?
Yes
- Go To 3
No

- Replace the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
3. CHECK THE (G160/G161) RIGHT/LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage of the (G160/G161) Right/Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.
Is the voltage above 0.2 volts?
Yes
- Repair the (G160/G161) Right/Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. See: Verification Tests/Body Verification Test.
No
- Go To 4
4. CHECK THE (P439) MEMORY SELECT SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Measure the voltage of the (P439) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit.
Is the voltage above 0.2 volts?
Yes
