Left Turn Signal on Trailer may be Inoperative
OVERVIEW:
This Bulletin involves cleaning out excessive silicone from the Seven Way Trailer Tow Connector, terminal # 1.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
When verifying trailer turn signal function prior to towing a trailer. The customer may experience a non functional left trailer left turn
signal
DIAGNOSIS:
Customer may come in with the above condition. Check connector terminal number one. If there is silicone in the connector follow the
repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. In the seven way trailer tow connector locate terminal number one. Refer to the detailed drawing of the connector available in
DealerConnect > TechConnect under Wiring > Trailer Tow > Component End Views > Wiring Trailer Tow 7 way > Pin one is in the
upper left.
2. Using a suitable tool, such as a straight blade Exacto knife, scrape the silicone off the outside of the # 1, Left terminal.
3. Test and return vehicle to customer.

HELP USING THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION FOR FLASHING AN ECU IS AVAILABLE BY SELECTING "HELP" THEN
"HELP CONTENTS" AT THE TOP OF THE wiTECH DIAGNOSTIC APPLICATION WINDOW.
THE wiTECH SOFTWARE LEVEL MUST BE AT RELEASE 10.04 OR HIGHER TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE.
StarMOBILE DESKTOP CLIENT MAY ALSO BE USED TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE.

Flash: WIN Module For Intermittent RKE Functions

This bulletin involves flash reprogramming the Wireless Ignition Node (WIN) with new software.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customer may experience intermittent FOBIK operating characteristics. Dealers are required to verify the manufacturer of the Wireless

DIAGNOSIS:
If the vehicle operator describes the above Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
Check manufacturer of WIN Module
1. Using the wiTECH Diagnostic Application verify the WIN module is manufactured by Marquardt
2. Click on the reports tab on the top of the main page.
3. Select Run/View Reports.
4. Select ECU Details report.
5. Click on the arrow key to run the report.
6. Scroll to the bottom to find the WIN section.
7. Check the supplier ID. Is the Supplier Marquardt?
a. No>>> Inspection is complete. Please refer to normal diagnostics for the customers concern.
b. Yes>>> Continue with step 8.
8. Now check the software version listed on the same page. Is the WIN software version lower than 10.02.01?
a. No>>> Inspection is complete check for other issues causing customer concern
b. Yes>>> Continue with the repair procedure step 9.
NOTE:
If this flash process is interrupted/aborted, the flash should be restarted.
9. Using the wiTECH Diagnostic Application for flashing a WIN is made available through the wiTECH Diagnostic Application. For
instructions select the "HELP tab on upper portion of the wiTECH window, then "HELP CONTENTS. This will open the Welcome to
wiTECH Help screen were help topics can now selected.
10. Clear any DTC's that may have been set in other modules due to reprogramming. The wiTECH application will automatically present
all DTCs after the flash and allow the tech to clear them.

NOTE:
This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a Hard Drive Radio (sales code REN, REZ).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may complain that the radio will not change stations or frequency intermittently. The only function that will be available is
volume control.
DIAGNOSIS:
This condition may only happen on one radio station. If condition can not be duplicated, perform the repair as described below only if the2010 Jeep Truck Grand Cherokee 4WD V8­5.7L

PARTS REQUIRED:
NOTE:
1 Disc will flash all radios requiring the update.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Insert the key and turn the ignition to the ON position. TURN THE RADIO ON.
2. Insert the update disc into the radio.
3. The radio will read the contents of the disc and will prompt the user to select "Yes" or "No". This may take a few minutes.
4. If the current radio software number is the same as the update software number, no further action is required. Go to step 7.
5. If the current radio software number is lower than the update software number, select "Yes". The radio will perform the update without
any further user input.
NOTE:
ONCE THE UPDATE HAS BEGUN, DO NOT TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND DO NOT TOUCH THE RADIO!
6. Several different screens will appear during the update process which may take about 5­12 minutes. Once the update is complete,
the radio will return to the normal user screens.
NOTE:
Wait for the radio to re­read the disc
7. The current radio software number should now match the update CD software number. If this is correct, select "No" to return the radio
to the normal user screens.
8. Eject the disc, close the radio screen and remove the key from the ignition.
